Live Healthy Red Wing

Who We Are

Live Healthy Red Wing collaborates to increase the health and well-being of our community by improving policies and systems, enhancing the physical environment, and building an inclusive culture where every resident feels heard and connected.

What We Do

Live Healthy Red Wing has created and collaborated on a variety of community projects, like the Open Your Front Door and Walk campaign, the Safe Routes to School program, and the adoption of the Complete Streets and Pedestrian policy by the Red Wing City Council.

Currently, Live Healthy Red Wing is working closely with the city on the Red Wing 2040 community plan. The two-year project involves listening to the entire Red Wing community so that Red Wing's plan for the next 20 years reflects all who live, work, and play in our city. During the summer of 2017, Live Healthy will be touring the entire community and gathering perspectives from as many residents as possible.

Live Healthy also offers a $1,200 mini-grant program for projects that help advance our mission. Recently funded projects include: an expansion of the EBT program at the local Farmer's Market, a Healthy Cooking program series at the Jordan Towers residences, upgrades to a pickle ball court, and equipment to expand physical activity at the Haven of Hope, a local organization assisting victims of domestic abuse.
